About

  • Our paddle begins in a saltwater marsh area in historic Shem Creek among shrimp boats and restaurants that line the creek.

  • We then journey out to an Bird Sanctuary called Crab Bank Island across a shallow bay, which is home to thousands of nesting shorebirds including the state threatened species Wilsons Plover and Eastern Brown Pelicans. Frequented by dolphin and sometimes manatee, this is a nice wildlife paddle.

  • This tour also includes incredible views in the distance of the historic Charleston Harbor, Castle Pinckney, and Ft. Sumter.

  • Tours are led by trained and entertaining guides.

  • Please bring a refillable water bottle.

  • Location: 1 Shrimp Boat Lane, Mt.Pleasant, SC 29464
