About
**Learn to freedive down to a maximum depth of 20m/66 feet!
This program teaches fundamental freediving techniques for comfortable enjoyment in the aquatic world to depths of 20m/66ft. You will also practice Static Apnea to help develop your breath-holding abilities and in-water comfort.
The minimum age to complete this course is 10 years old (10-11 year old's require a private class).
If you are a veteran able to use the GI Bill, you may be able to have your SDI courses reimbursed by the VA! Call for details: 843-849-4868
What's Included?
- eLearning (so you can complete the knowledge portion and exams at your pace).
- Rental freediving weights and wetsuit.
- Pool sessions completed in one of the city pools or in your pool if it is a private class.
- Pool sessions are completed in one day (takes about 4-5 hrs).

Options to complete your open water dives:

Open Water dives in the Ravenel quarry are included, additional days at the quarry are $50/day for admission, plus additional instructor time.

This address is very close to the location, continue past this location and turn left at the large black gate just before the train tracks. -
Trips to the Florida Springs are also available during with winter months, cost of the trip to FL is an additional $350 over the freediver class fee (lodging not included).

You will need to have your own mask, snorkel, fins and booties for the class. Typical scuba equipment is recommended, freediver specific fins are not needed for this first certification, but are definitely usable.
